CONMANAGER018 - Understanding the pseudo key model

Modified on Thu, 7 Nov at 1:41 PM

In the XTRM ecosystem, companies play one of two primary roles:

  1. Remitter and/or Beneficiary Company: This is any company involved in sending or receiving funds.
  2. Managing Company: A company responsible for managing downstream customers or partners, who send or receive funds.

For managing companies using the XTRM API to process payments on behalf of their downstream customers (often referred to as aggregators), there are specific requirements. To initiate funds transfers from a customer’s wallet to other wallets or endpoints (such as bank accounts) via the API, the managing company must have access to their customer’s pseudo credentials. Importantly, the customer must be fully onboarded as a remitter to enable these transfers, which is a necessary step to comply with KYC (Know Your Customer) regulations.

  1. Obtain Manager Account Status: The managing company’s account must be designated as a manager account, indicated by a red star next to the account name. To enable this, the company should contact XTRM.

  2. Establish a Connection to the Remitter Account: The managing company must be formally connected to the customer’s (remitter’s) account.

  3. Use the Remitter's Pseudo Key for Transfers: With connection and manager status in place, the managing company can use the customer’s pseudo key to make wallet-to-wallet sends. This involves utilizing the remitter's "Program ID," "Wallet ID," and "Payment Method ID" in API requests.

Pseudo keys are accessible under the Connected Company section in the manager menu.

This setup ensures that managing companies can facilitate secure and compliant payment flows on behalf of their downstream customers.
