Beneficiary, Connected, and Manager Accounts Overview

There are 3 levels of access to company and individual accounts. Please view the table to see what access each level allows.

Some important notes to consider:

1. You do not need to be "Connected To" a company or individual account to send a payment to their wallet.

2. When you pay a company or individual, they are automatically added to your Beneficiaries list.

3. Being 'Connected To' (Level 2) allows some additional limited visibility for you, plus allows "Bank Direct" payments via API.

4. Connecting is a one way process. Your company being 'connected to' another company does not mean they are connected back to you. If you are 'Connected To' another company you have Level 2 access to them, they do not have Level 2 access to you.

5. Being "Connected To" and  a "Manager" (Level 3)  gives you additional visibility and additional manager services to manage your connected downstream companies or individuals.

Level 1 - Standard CompanyIf you pay a person or a company, they are added to your "Beneficiaries." You can see that list by clicking the "Beneficiaries" link on the left menu. This is Level 1 access. You do not need to be connected to a person or company to pay into their wallet.
Level 2 - Connected CompanyIf you are 'Connected To' a Beneficiary company or individual account, then you have some limited additional view access and functionality to that individual or company. This is level 2 access. See below.
Level 3 - Connected & ManagerIf you are an integrated partner or agency, you can get authorized for Level 3 Access. This allows for more advanced management services for your customers and partners.

How do I become 'Connected To' a company account (Access Level 2)?

There are three ways to get connected to other company accounts.

1. You are the first company to pay them via mass pay submission or the send option on the XTRM platform.

2. You request to be connected to an existing company account. To do this, go to the "Connected" option, search for the company accounts you want to connect to, and request to connect to their account. An email is sent to their master admin to approve the request.

3. You created the company account using the XTRM API. Once you have created them, they will be listed in the "Connected To Companies" table in the Connected menu.

Once a company is connected to your company, you will have additional functionality such as using 'Bank Direct' payments. Please take a look at the table above.

Companies' accounts you are connected to can revoke your access anytime by clicking "Disconnect" on their Connected From page.

How do I become connected to personal accounts (Access Level 2)?

There are two ways you become connected to personal accounts. (i.e., account owned by individuals receiving payments from you or  your customers)

1. You are connected to personal accounts if you are the first company to pay them via mass pay submission or using the send option on the XTRM platform, and their account was created on the fly.

2. You created the personal beneficiary account using the XTRM API or XTRM Widgets. Once you have created them, they will be listed in the "Connected Personal Beneficiary" table in the "Connected" menu.

Once an individual is connected to your company account, you will have additional view access via the XTRM user interface. See the table above.

If you are not connected to a user account because none of 1) or 2) applied, and you want to be connected, please email support@xtrm.com with the details of the individual you wish to be connected to, including name and email.

Managed personal accounts can revoke your access anytime by clicking "Disconnect" on their "Connected From" page.

How do I access advanced manager services (Access Level 3)?

Please contact your account manager or email support@xtrm.com, and we will happily discuss your advanced manager service requirements. These are typically reserved for integrated XTRM partners that manage many downstream customers. Depending on requirements and security levels, you may be authorized for some or all of these features.
